Driver Side Axle Removal, WTF
I'm trying to remove the drivers side axle from my 2001 Prelude SH. The passenger side was cake, and now the drivers side goes into the ATTS box and you cant really pry it out. My Helm's manual says just tap it with a plastic hammer and it will come out, bull ****. I've been trying for like 3 days.
Can anyone offer any help?

the C-clip must be centered on the axle. sometimes you need to take a long screwdriver and re-center it from the passenger side. It was in a ServiceNews issue a while back
Turbo Lude, what the other guy was saying is for non SH cars. This doesn't apply to us SH owners because our driver side axle doensn't go directly into the tranny.
I tried removing the drivers side axle also, but I couldn't. I tried using a bigass prybar but that didnt help. I asked the same question a while ago on the PO board, here's what one guy said to do, see if it works:
"Use a wide prybar that is shaped like a chisel on one end. Use a hammer and tap it into the space between the ATTS unit and the axle. It will eventually pop out. My driver's side drive shaft came out very easily. However, my passenger's side drive shaft took some work. I couldn't pry it out, and I had to hammer a chisel between the axle and the tranny housing. Once you get the axle pushed away from the housing a few mm, it will pop, that's the c-clip being removed from its groove. That's what holds the drive shaft in place. Once you get it to pop out of the groove, you can insert a pry bar between the axle and the housing, put some pressure on it, and the drive shaft will slide right on out!
