96 Stock accord coupe
YO i just got my honda accord not to long ago i have no idea what it has what it doesnt besides a messed up clutch.
Can some one tell me where to start to see what hidden peace of ****/ gem i have and what i need to do to move forward into tricking it out
all i know:
1996
2.2
2 door
17'' rims now i cracked the 18'' from the pics
cut springs to lower it
and the miles gage doesnt work it stopped somewhere in between 176k and 177k

Alil bit of both. i just dont know where to start because i dont know how beat up the engine is i dont want to turbo if i have an engine on its way out. and i dont want to swap if i can salvage my engine.

Any local garage should be able to perform these basic tests. Or you could look around your local area for any car clubs. You can usually find someone with the tools that might be willing to help you out.

It appears to be a 94/95 based on
- front/rear bumpers
- hood/grill
- color (not available 96/97)
Your motor type is stamped on the engine block (sunroof suggests F22B1)
- Get good suspension, cut springs are the worst possible way to lower a car
- Do all maintenance (timing belt, water pump, fluids, etc)
- look for the cluster removal/speedo fix thread to fix your cluster

Clean accord, from the looks as muffin man said, it's a 94-95 accord EX coupe
as far as performance, a H22 swap is pretty much a drop in and can be found for around $2200 on Hmotorsonline or cheaper if you look around locally, or if you want to keep the F, look up Bisi
