How bad is it for your tranny to powershift? I do it alot, just wondering, I dont want to ***** anything up.

 

I wouldnt really advise that you do it alot.

what is powershifting? no clutch when yu shift?

 

isnt powershifting not letting off the gas and just tapping the clutch while shoving the car into gear? never done, but i think this might be it. all i know is its not at all good for the car

 

 

Powershifting = excessive wear on syncros h

 

Don't power shift, it gives u minimal gains. and u will mess up your tranny.

Just shift quick and you'll be fine.

 

If it's a D series the synchros are shitty anyways.

 

and D syncs are cheap at $20 each, only need to replace 1 thru 3.

Most D crunches are caused by weak motor mounts anyways.

 

keep on powershifting and find out wath it would do....i know.....my friend did it......just quick shift its alot bettter.......

I did a groupbuy about 3+ years ago, wiped out 3-4 warehouses.

Aceomatic/Recon is who I get them through. You HAVE to be a tranny shop, or be friends with a owner that will order them for you. Last time I bought them, they were $14 each, I was selling them @ $20 each shipped.

Or $55 for 1st thru 3rd, $85 for the whole set, shipped.
