Couple quick questions here, im getting ready to install a JRSC kit on a B18B1 with a ported and polished head. No other mods to speak of.

I have two options to choose from here in terms of electronics based on my available funds for the install next weekend. I can either get the Innovate LC1 Air/Fuel wideband kit and use the JRSC FMU...or I can get the greddy emanage ultimate.

Would it be mandatory to have the air fuel ratio gauge in place first to be able to make proper adjustments with the emanage ultimate so that we dont nuke the engine right off the bat? The emanage ultimate would eliminate the need for the JR FMU.
