Turbo sizing
I am going to be swapping a B16 into my hatch and want to turbo it. I am looking only for 7 - 8psi and nothing more since this will be my daily driver.
Is a T3 big enough to support this? I see everyone uses T3/T4's and the like, and was wondering if these are used for future plans.

I'm going with a T3/T4 .50 A/R compressor. From the compressor map plotting I have done, it should do pretty good at 7 psi.
Also, what do the A/R numbers mean and how do they affect the turbo's personality?

i was thinking if i went with a b16 to get a sohc kit, and buy a hks manifold, with the 15g turbo it would be perfect for 7-8 psi because the fast spool would make up for the torquless 1.6.....although i think the 15g could loose steam reving up high
If you just want a quick spooling turbo to produce 250-275 hp, then stick with a T3. Here are the specs to a T3 that will be perfect for you:
.48 A/R Turbine Housing
Stage I Turbine
.60 A/R Compressor Housing
Super 60 Compressor Wheel

Super 60 Compressor Wheel

I am looking for the smallest turbo to give me a good and steady 7psi all the way to redline. I dont ever want to go above 10.
