Default Glue removal.

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. The "CIVIC" badge on my EJ6 was falling off, so I went ahead and removed it all the way. There is some glue residue remaining where it was. I tried scrubbing it off with simple green, paint thinner, gasoline, nothing's really working. Any ideas of how to get this off. Maybe something a little abrasive like a scotch brite pad? I really don't want to scratch the paint, as it's in really nice condition.

With a rag or is there something a little more abrasive that won't scratch?

The safest thing I've found for removing glue (and NOT removing the paint with it) is De-Solv-It. This stuff comes in handy for all sorts of things!

You can buy it anywhere, hardware stores, grocery stores, you name it...

Also, you might soften up the glue with a hair dryer before using the De-Solv-It.

WARNING: I used to work at an Ace Hardware store. Oops, Goo Gone, et cetera, can be pretty nasty. They're great for removing graffiti, fingernail polish, and so forth. But, I wouldn't apply it to the paint job on my ride! Caveat emptor...

If it was me, I'd carefully rub the glue with my fingernail and/or a soft piece of wood (such as a Popsicle stick). That's how I got rid of all the glue behind the front lip on my Vic.

Just take your time, and it will come off without damaging the paint.

you could buy any kind of adhesive remover, though good ole zippo lighter fluid usually does the trick faster than anything
