so im 17, just got me a 1994 honda prelude. Clean and stock. Sadly i didnt want it becuz it automatic. I realy wanna be about that life and have a beast *** whip. How ever my car gets no where. I dont know if i should even bother trying to hook it up, or bother swapping to 5 speed. Or if i should just get a new car. ......... Oh and i lost to a stock civic automatic as well lol my prelude lacks *****. its h23a and automatic, thats really all i know about it. Not trying to get flamed just looking for some help or motivation.

If the car is clean, you can get decent cash for it. Sell it, then go find a male (5 speed) Prelude.

 

 

Sell the sissy ride and buy a 5spd H22 version. You might look into 5G Ludes.

Yes, transmission, halfshaft, axles, flywheel, clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, fluid reservoir, hydraulic line, shifter box, shifter cables, pedal assy, motor mount issues, rewire the reverse and nuetral safety, all the attaching hardware and bolts. And, oh yeah.... ECU. Then you have to install it all.

That's what this forum is known for, that's why they call it hater-tech. Not many know any tech on here but a select few.

 

You *could* make it manual - and while you were at it, you *could* swap in an H22. If you got the full swap, you're already halfway there.

Preludes in junkyards, unlike other Hondas, are usually intact. I found a 4th gen VTEC with the engine still in it in a junkyard in Chicago. If you were to find a manual Prelude, you could bone it's manual bits (the genitals?) and transplant them onto yours.

However, sex-change operations are not to be taken lightly. It'll take time and work. It's up to you (and your effeminate vehicle) to decide if it's worth undertaking. I wish you luck on finding a manual Prelude in the junkyard. If you do, it'll make the seemingly impossible actually quite achievable.

If you aren't comfortable pulling and replacing engines, then just get a new car.
