Default Anybody daily driving 11.5:1 compression?

We have the chance to put a b20 bottom end in my sons Rex. The bottom end has Arias 11.5:1 85mm pistons in it, eagle rods. we have GSR head with blox b's, springs and retainers to put on it.

I'm sure it's a noob question, but it's new to me, coming from the V8 side of things, these are things that popped into my head.

1) still okay with 93 octane pump gas?
2) any issues with daily driving and overheating? typical half radiator
3) starter still turn it over okay?

I just don't want to suggest something for the build and find out it makes his daily more of a track car. I'd get in trouble with my wife, next thing you know I'm sleeping on the couch or in the garage, and that's not good for anybody...

If I'm daily driving on a 2.1L 11.5:1 CR with M22x cams on 91 octane, you should be fine with 93. My starter is stock, on a 97 GSR and oem radiator, no problems. Just don't go reving to 9,000 rpm unless the bottom end is built to handle those revs.

The B18C in my Civic has 12:1 compression. It's my weekend/track car, but occasionally I'll take it to work and wouldn't be afraid to use it as a daily driver. It uses a half size dual core radiator and doesn't have any issues. As long as the motor it properly tuned for 93, you won't have a problem. The OEM starter will be fine.

11.5:1 isn't that radical.

you'll be fine on all of those. there are 400whp turbo cars running stock radiator. I daily drive a ~12:1 ls vtec without problems, just need to use premium or motor will be very unhappy. no problem at all with starter.

closer to 12 compression h23vtec stock cams

Shell 93 only

Shell gasoline actually make power and better gas mileage and helps with detonation i'll recommend to any one that nitrogen crap really works.

But agressive but not so aggressive on the tune and a lower temp thermostat and a fan that can remove the heat from the radiator it's just like a stock engine i drive my car ever where. Just to make sure it can handle the heat i do it. I have a 170 degree thermostat with an accord radiator with one fan doesn't get above 186 but i do keep the fan on always. When both fans are on it only get's to 177 and all this is via chrome datalogging. IAT temps in the 100's also.

LSvtec 12.3 compression Skunk2 Pro 2's daily driven on 94 octane. This is with an OEM d series half sized radiator.

Like people above are saying, spend the extra $$ to get the motor tuned by a reputable person. You will not be disappointed, and your motor will be safer with a higher comp.

I put 100km (60 miles) on my motor every day I go to work. No problems yet.

as long as its tuned its fine im gonna be at 11:1 on 91 11.5:1 is pretty ideal for a car running pump gas although people go higher in compression on pump gas i wouldnt go over 11.5:1 you will be fine with a tune

the stock JDM ITR is at over 11:1, 11.3:1 i believe.

everything up to 12:1 is easily dailiable on 93 when tuned properly.
starter and radiator should not have any problem

11.5cr pistons for a b20 are quite flat
relax, with that cr you can even put a decent shot on it
