so when i drive my 93 si hatch up hills i have to constantly down shift even going down to 2nd and in 2nd i get going really slow untill 4,000 rpm. what could this be caused from? oh and my cel turns on when it hits 4,000 and rockets up the hill. but turns off when i turn off my car, no really idea on how to check the cel.. any help is much appreciated.

When the CEL turns on, pull over and leave the engine running while you jump the service connector.

so its the o2 sensor #1 where is this one and is it cheap to fix?

 

Its located on your header and its a relatively cheap fix. Buy one from a local parts store and install it yourself if you have the tools.
