Can't open the hood. What to do?
I got a problem, I can't open my hood. The hood release under the dash doesn't work meaning it doesn't pop the hood up so I can get to the latch. I've tried gangster style where you stick your hand up through the front to pull the wire, but that doesn't work either. I don't think the hood wire snapped either because it doesn't feel like it when I pull on it. Is there any other way to open my hood without paying someone to do it?
By the way this is a 94 coupe.

I know it's possible to open a CRX hood, just by sqeezing your hand behind the front bumper from under the car and grab that thing that the wire pulls, I don't know if you can do it with your car tho, but you may wanna try.
You might wanna try to get vice grips and use it to pull on the wire because when my husband tried without the vice grips it didn't work. That's wat my husband did to his crx when the latch broke... it should work but just as long as that wire isn't broken...

It takes 2 people to open my hood:
1 - pulling on the latch cord with pliers since I broke the damn latch pulling on it yesterday (kind of glad now, thieves won't be able to just reach for the latch to pop the hood)
2 - one person lifting on the underside of the hood by the headlights to pop it up.
How can I fix this????
Is the problem at the latch, cord, or what? Thanks!!

yeah i do.
1. take off the undergaurd/shield below your headers so you can reach up under the hood.
2. get up as close to the latch as you can and you'll see the latch unit.
3. at the very bottom backsside (header side) of the assembly there is a .75" x 1.5" metal tab, bend it back (easy to do).
4. it reveals where the pull cable enters the assembly.
5. the pull cable is attached to a lever, move the lever towards the air filter side of the car. it has about a half inch throw and shouldnt be that hard to move, and the hood will pop.
this happened on mine and the cable wasnt broken but it had come out of its snap-in holder just before the latch assembly.
