I pulled a stupid. 1992 Accord/H22
I appologize in advance if someone posted a similar question. I couldn't find anything.
Anywhoo, I had a bad shaft seal on the passenger side and kept putting it off to replace it. Last Friday it must have went completely because the tranny lost all the fluid on the way back from a 150 mile trip. It stinks to high hell, I imagine mostly to the fluid having contact with the exhaust.
The engine is an OBD1 H22A with the NON LSD M2A4 I believe? Today the car shifts pretty good. It takes two trys to get into reverse. No grinding. It does hum around 55mph but it has done this since The swap was done. It is infact a little louder now. The seal will be getting put on ASAP (before it is driven again). My question finally is what damage could I have caused? I did replace the tranny fluid with a heavy weight tranny fluid (80 wt) before I realized it took 10-30. I did this about a month ago. Also since this happened the reverse lights are on all the time. No matter what gear. Am I up ***** creek? Please help guys.
