If you want the best, then switch to odb1 run the p08 ecu that is made for the engine and run a hybrid si/zc tranny. I ran mine odb1, p08 ecu and an si tranny.

sorry i forgot. 1991 - 1995 had e vtec and vtec for the d15b. in 1995 they implemented 3 stage vtec for the d15b. p08 or p28 will work for you as they are the same. wire up for obd1, pick your transmission and go. si will be fastest but rev happy on the highway. dx would be a happy medium if you will, dont use a vx/cx tranny.

a p28 will require him to wire for a 4-wire o2 sensor.

a 3 stage vtec was made to somewhat for economy to save more mpg...

u literally have 2 vtec solenoids instead of one... and the car runs on 12 valves, and then it opens up to 16 valves, and like every other vtec on a d series will kick in around the normal rpm

reason y they have it so u burn less gas in the 12 valves, then once u need to guzzle more gas in a 12 valve motor in higher rpms they switch to 16 valves to get rid of the requirment to burn more gas on a 12 valve , and then the vtec kicks in to save little more gas! lol

get
p28 ecu
obd1 jumper harness
maybe dizzy adapter too so you can use the d15b one
either keep obdo injectors/injector resistor box or get rid of the injector resistor box and obd0 injectors/plugs and wire in obd1 injector plugs and use obd1 injectors

you are correct. besides that, I did some more reading and the p08 will make a little more power due to the different timing map it has, and get a little better gas mileage . They are similar but not as close as i thought.

ok, so si trans, or zc, then p08 ecu, obd0 to 0bd1 jumper harness, obd1 harness, and im good to go?
if i get the jumper and use the obd1 harness for the d15b, i wont need to wire vtec, correct?

and until i get all that stuff, i can run the d15b on my pm6, with no vtec, right?
using the obd0 harness and obd0 ls dizzy

The dx doesn't come with a resister box.

vtec is only one wire that you can run to the adapter. If you want to do it old school and still stay odb1 you can run a msd rpm switch to activate vtec. If you use the pm6 ecu you will have a lower redline and not full appreciate the d15b.
