ok so i have a jdm front end conversion on my R and the OEM HID stopped working on the right side. when i turn the lights on, it turns on but right a way turns off. and the day before i had my car detailed and they washed the engine bay so may be some water got in there or something. but i am hoping its something little and not my balast. so what you guys think could be the problem?

 

Check the headlight fuse...

from my experience your having a issue with your ballast, same as the other guy. so time to test them. swap bulbs and ballast on eachother. it a process off elimination on what isnt working correctly

 

If not, i might have oem jdm ballasts for sale. Be advised, the left is different from the right!

 

I did that. Found out it was the bulb. I went back to stocks afterward. Haven't put another set on yet. It's been a yr!

so with yours, when you turned the lights on, it turned on then turns off? how much do the ballast go for anyone know? i hope its not the ballast.

 

Obviously you cant buy them new. Icb motorsports sells them for about $300 for the pair. No one really sells them individually.
