Default new to CD5

quick question, I'm picking up a 94 ex in a couple weeks and I have to drive it 2,000 miles within 2 days and was wondering if there was anything I should replace before I make the drive? The motor/body both have 122,000 miles on it, and the guy told me he changed the front rotors last week because they were going bad and also put new tires on it. belts/hoses/etc? as far as I know, he has not had tune up within the last 20,000 miles. thanks

I have no clue, it's hard to contact the guy because I am still in Iraq. But I will be able to find out in about 5 days. Money is not an issue for replacing parts or tune-ups, got the car for a good price. thanks

this is what i did with my accord ex coupe 94 replace cap, rotor, sparkwire, spark plugs. also did a eco tuning, replaced airfilter, replaced gas injectors, and tires inflated to the proper pressure.
if your timing belt is messed up or getting old change that plus your hose.

So essentially, you did very very basic maintenance

With the amount of miles the OP is looking at and age of parts, and having no idea when parts were replaced a FULL tune up is necessary to play it safe. Especially if driving it 2000 miles.

- fluids (brake/ps/tranny/engine/coolant/etc)
- tbelt/water pump
- brakes/rotors
- belts
- plugs/wires
- filter

And with that, the CD5 isn't necessarily any different than any other Honda in regards to maintenance.

Timing Belt/Water Pump (major service) is like 80-90k or 7 years. A 94 Accord is 16 years old at this point and needs both done because of age, and not mileage.

Same with most other things, brake fluid attracts water over time, that can rust out lines and f up your braking. Best to change that out.

Tranny fluid doesn't do you any good if it's old and burnt up as ****.

etc

another question: I want to make roughly 250hp na, is that reasonable with an h22a? or should I just rebuild the f and boost it if I want to increase?
