New guy and his 05'
Hi,
I wasn't totally sure where to post an introduction, I apologize if I missed it. I've got a 2005 Accord EX V6 Sedan, absolutely love it! I've had it for a little over a year and it's about to hit 93k miles, a bit high, but being military I've put 30K on it in the past year. I'm looking to add a little more kick to it, but I'm not totally sure what to invest in. Nothing to crazy, just a more aggressive sound and a few ticks quicker to the 60. It's mainly used as a daily driver and if my van is in the shop than it hauls the occasional kid or 3..
Either way, I look forward to chatting with you guys and girls a bit. I don't know a whole lot about aftermarket parts and all that goodness so I hope to learn a some as well.

Definitely... do that before changing any performance oriented items. the cars is fairly quick already and your better of leaving it as is, or at the most doing some suspension work.
Trying to get more out of the engine is going to be a very expensive prospect with a j series motor. items like a tb spacer and opening up the breathing are really very minor improvements and are not useful in daily driving applications... if useful at all.

Re: New guy and his 05'
Thanks for the welcoming!
I noticed it's a bit expensive to upgrade the car, especially for a daily driver. The fun part is my wife and I are both young and haven't had our sport(ish) car, so we've talked about looking at the C6 vettes, but they are expensive and parts are costly as well. I've found a few for around $20k, I could make that work but I'll miss my backseats and I love Honda. We also looked at getting an S2000, but she can't drive a stick and again we'd still miss the backseats and all the features our Accord has. So then I'm back to square 1..lol...

Hey all, my name is Les Foster from McPherson Kansas. I do most of the work on my cars. Some things I just can't do, like machining. Swaps, suspension, maintenance etc I've got covered.
So of course with some searching I found some decent info, and a few swaps that have been done. Then I came across this site. I'm happy that it's around.
Thanks for making this site available.
Cheers.
