Default i/h/e Setup Question.

One my friends told me about doing an i/h/e setup for my auto d16(No i'm not gonna swap it for now)
My Question is what Intake should i buy and what brand, what kind of Header and Exhaust. I don't want the sound too loud so probably going to get a Apexi WS2.

To answer your question, brand name parts are your best bet.

Are you sure you want to spend $1000 on parts to make an extra 10-12hp. It won't make much difference on an automatic d series engine

man forget that d series and get yourself a b18b1 swap for the price of all those parts you wont make much power at all. i raped my boys d series vtec full bolt on's and chipped WITH MY B18B1 SWAP bone stock except for headers and intake.. was running with no exhaust

Lol thats what i've been getting from my friends "It won't make much difference on an automatic d series engine" Its just so hard i don't want to do a swap its too much work, swapping it is useless if i have an Auto Tranny. (Tranny Swaps cost lots)

For $1000, the "same" amount of money it would cost you to buy the parts you asked for, you could do a full B18B swap....you could do it over a weekend!

over a weekend??? yeah right i did a b18b swap in the same day. if you have all the parts and tools. you can take out that old d and put in a b18b1 swap WITH INNOVATIVE auto to manual CONVERSION MOUNTS for about 300. trust me i had stock mounts and ended up getting innovative. you get what you paid for and those mounts are strong as heck trust me yo. get that b18b1 swap. telling you this because even tho we are not your friends we still care enough about giving you a real fact just like your friends. take my word for it. you will enjoy that b18b1 swap after the mission of installing it

look man on the real check it out. i dropped in a b18b1. put 421 headers intake gsr pistons and advanced the timing just a little bit. my boy kept talking about how he walks cars and i laughed at him after he got walked by me. you cant compare a stock d vtec to 130MAX HP to a b18b1 127 in torque and about 150 HP and that is stock to stock. look man i put about 1k into the engine buying mounts and clutch n stuff. i raced a lsvtec integra and i beat him by half a car i had to pop my hood to show people that i was only a b18b1... i am currently selling the swap if you are interested take a look on ebay. it has the engine installed with blue engine bay paint job

well if you know how to change headers you easily can put this motor in. if you know how to change a light bulb. you can easily plug up the 3 plugs that connect to the car. what can you offer? and besides you wont need that d series anymore so you sell it and get 400-500 you are getting everything. i am highly sure you can find a friend to help you. besides it only takes a few hours to take out an engine and drop another one into it.
before i bought a honda i have a cavalier z24. and i blew 2 engines motor swap took me 3 days. on hondas i gotta say i can have an engine taken out and another b dropped in before sunset and that is with me starting in the morning. honda very easy to do engine swaps
