Any insight into next troubleshooting method? I have taken the negative cable off of the battery and reset the system. I have unplugged unit in trunk to reset. I have ejected DVD and cleaned (although it wasn't dirty or scratched).

Navigation screen shows world image with Honda Logo. It will blip occasionally. It will give me an option to enter Nav Code but when I go to enter, I can only enter one number (sometimes two) and then it goes back to World Image Screen.

It's been this way for three days. The navigation has come through a couple of times and I am then able to utilize the touch screen radio and nav system. But it doesn't last long and goes back to black world screen.

What next? How does the system work? Is it the DVD player? Is it a fuse? Is there a computer chip that could be bad?

When I first got my 2008 Accord, The navigation did not work since the day i took delivery of the car. I had the same problem, the screen would get stuck on the Honda symbol. They replaced my screen, DVD reader unit, and all the main electronics, but it didnt fix the problem so I got a different accord from them after some fighting with the dealer.

If your car is not under warranty this is going to get expensive to fix.
Your better of going too the dealer.
