Icon2 Should I purchase 1997 Ex....

I recently came across a 1997 ex coupe that is still owned by the original owner, hes a Dr. and only used the car too and from work. He hasnt had any children so all the seats especially the rear are flawless. The car on the inside is cleaner than my 2000 em1. Its a stock d16 5spd, only thing wrong I noticed was that the cv joints need to be replaced maybe the ball bearings. But the ac blows cold, no slipping from the tranmission, it shifts good and motor seems very strong. It only has 100,000 miles to date and I checked out the motor and trans for any oil leaks and I couldnt locate; one also it has been garaged kept for the last 8 years. Should i purchase this car or not reason I ask is because his asking price is 3200. I dont know if its worth it but the I havent seen a 97 this clean lately lmk what youll think and for the people who hate these threads gtfo!

pics? honestly 26-2800 is the highest id go even with low mileage, 1 owner, meticulous records, etc. its a civic which means the second you put it in your name, theft rate increases, etc. actually i cant even say id spend 2600 for a civic unless its uber clean, like showroom floor clean.

most i'd spend is 2200-2400 and that's assuming the paint is in great shape and very little to no rust.

i picked up my 96 ex 5 spd with a little rust for $300.

nowww it did have a blown engine but hey what can ya do lol. at this point i probably have about $750 in the car.

He'll take $3,000 for it

That's a pretty good price for a clean 97 coupe

Found this but it's an automatic

Try to talk him down to $2800 due to the CV joints, maybe settle on $2900.

Either is a fair price, if it's as perfect as you claim, with the mileage, original owner, etc.

Anything less than 3k seems reasonable considering the condition. If you think about it the actual value of the car is much higher than 3k. Reliable, good mpg, cheap repairs, cheap insurance, etc

I NEVER NEEDED INPUT FROM ANY FORUM ABOUT BUYING A CAR. ITS MY MONEY I BUY IT IF I WANT IT AND THINK IT WILL BE A GOOD CAR. IF ITS NOT WHATEVER I'LL SELL IT AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE.
GOD WHAT ARE YOU 15 AND CAN"T EVEN AFFORD A CAR?
