Who has ever had the itch to drive your R, but isn't able to? The itch gets to you so bad it drives you nuts. How do you deal with it?
I've been out of the country since the New Year, and only been back home for two weeks in April. I'm coming home at the end of August for 1.5 weeks but the itch is coming and it's coming back hard. I have all these parts waiting for me too.

Every time i feel like taking her off the jack stands , I just sit back and think of the time when my dad hid the R just to screw with me.I nearly pissed myself.I haven't driven the R in almost two years.

What did he do? Drive the R around the block and parked it there? LOL
I haven't been away from the car for any extended periods of time.
I don't think it'd bother me any though. I think I'd miss driving in general if I were out of the country somewhere I couldn't drive without the risk of dying..
If I were vacationing, I'd have other things to do besides thinking about driving the ITR.

I don't have a car where I'm at and there are no such things as traffic laws here. I don't drive 3-4 months at a time. It sucks.
It doesn't help too that members post pics of their sexy R and pics from Expo. Makes me more frustrated.
I can understand that frustration (though not the 3-4 months at a time part...or the driving at all part
). I don't drive anything I truly car about during winter months due to the de-icer & cinders they put on the ice/snow, and the mass amounts of retards driving. Sliding around in a sh!tbox civic is always a semi-fun alternative though.

are you deployed?
I havent driven the ITR in a week because I clayed her a week ago and then havent had the opportunity to finish the detailing, so I finally got done yesterday. But today I had work and school to attend, so I didnt want to bring her to school and leave her unattended. But I have the itch, my gift to myself was the ITR as a reward for completing my masters and when life gets stressful from the busy days I use the ITR as my reward to get away.
I'm already getting the itch to buy another one and my current one won't even be gone til next week
It sucks when you don't want to get rid of it, but have to. It makes it ten times worse.

Hmm, the "ITCH", wow! I sat and pondered for a moment as I gave this some real thought. The itch is endless as my R has sat for 4+ years now. I make sure it stays clean and sometimes would pull the cover off, open her up and just breath in the new car smell that's still there. Kind of intoxicating.
The itch to get it back running again has consumed my mind for the past month but trying to put priorities first (moving) it has to take a back seat for a bit longer. I know in the end it will be worth it when I hear it run again.
The caR got a massive detail a couple of weeks ago and it felt good to do something to it but it was oh so painful knowing when I finished all I could do was cover it back up till another day. But that day will come!

My parents always taught me never to be in a hurry when buying a car. My R was the only one I was in a rush to get because there was a ton of others on a waiting list to get it if the deal fell through with me.
After I bought it I remember "the itch" late at night, I'd be at work and just couldn't wait to get home to take it out for a spin on windy country roads. God I miss those days.
