Default B16a Swap, 99' hatch Help!

I have swapped in my B16a that came with a p73 ecu out of a 98' EX, my civic is a 99' CX so I bought the jumper harness for the ecu to my wiring harness. My original harness has a lot of plugs don't match up like the distributor and a few others.

After doing some research it seems people swap in an ex harness or 99-00 si harnes when doing this swap. If I swapped in an EX harness it seems like it would have to be a 99-00 as well, right?

Would I benefit from putting installing the harness that came with the b16a and swapping the harness underneath dash that came in my donor car to my hatch?

OR-

Should I just save myself the headaches and buy a harness from Rywire for 205.00 bucks ready to go?

thanks for helping a noob, all help is very much appreciated
