kinda OT , but what exactly does the second o2 do?
but what exactly does the second o2 do? besides tell you cat depletion ? does it make up for running rich or lean and tell the engine to change the mixture?
my friend thinks that since he is running rich and i dont think he is using the 2nd o2, that it will clean up the mixture?I might be wrong , but i thought it was just to tell you cat depletion for emissions. ?
can someone please shed some light on this subject

does it make up for running rich or lean and tell the engine to change the mixture?
I only though it exist for the emission test (pollution)
some1 got answers?
read the link to hondata.. it has all you need to know and more..
"The function of the second oxygen sensor is to determine if the catalytic converter is functioning. It does this by looking at the difference between the two oxygen sensors. If the catalytic converter is functioning correctly there will be a reduction in the exhaust oxygen content as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide is catalysed in the converter."
thanks junior R.. no temps involved apparently..
for me..
