Head question! d15b7
ok im in the middle of replacing valve stem seals, i have 2 questions.
When i press the new valve stem seals on, i hear a pop, like they locked on.
is that it? or should i try to push em in more? because taking those things out certainly werent as easy as putting em in...
and
putting back the springs, i noticed there are some springs longer then others, do one set of long springs go on one side and short springs on the other? if so whats the order?
(intake spring/exhaust)
Other then these 2 things, this is pretty fun, cant wait to get my car running! been about 5 months, i appreciate the help fellas!

i thought they were all the same....
what now? -_________-
i have 8 springs shorter then the other 8 springs (long ones)
do the long ones go on intake or the exhaust? or is it a mixture?

according to my helms manual for 91 civics...
the "free length" for the springs are:
intake: 48.58mm's for new springs, service limit is 47.64mm's
exhaust: 49.19mm's for new springs, service limit is 48.32mm's
and to answer your original question, the valve stem seals should just pop on there, i don't remember requiring any force when i did mine

.... you do know you're supposed to keep everything ordered per clyinder and keep the exhaust springs seperate from the intake ones right?
