Im new to this forum.

I have a 1990 dx auto.

Here is what I have replaced thus far: Fuel filter, plugs, wires, and pcv with minor luck.

When sitting at stop lights the car feels like it is missing/stalling. If I give it gas then it purs just fine. Once I put it into gear and accelerate the car sputters/misses/hesitates. As my rpms go up the car runs fine. When I am cruising at whatever speed I have zero problems. It is only at idle and during acceleration that I feel this problem.

Here is the kicker, after about 1 hour of driving around town this problem almost goes away. So basically after she is warm it stops missing at idle. I get a little upon acceleration but not as much as when it is cold.

Also I am NOT getting any codes or check engine light. SO I am clueless at this point.

Do you think a new cap and rotor would fix it?

Also the distributor is only 3 years old.
