anyone with flowmaster 60 series delta..
ive been thinking about exhaust lately and the flowmaster 60 series applies well to my setup and what i want out of the muffler itself. my only real question is how do they sound inside the car? it will be in a 95 civic ex with a jdm h22a ebay header and down pipe, 2.25 test pipe and custom 2inch piping. im still building the car and none of the exhaust is set in stone yet. my engine should be here on tuesday. im still checking out my options but i really want an exhaust that is quiet on the inside and NO raspy resonating ricer sound. but inside is the most important to me. the only decisions that are 100% are that it needs to be quiet on the inside and throaty on the outside, only going with 2inch because more than that is retarded on a 4 cyl.

I have it. It sounds really good (to me) and deep, not raspy. However, it isn't the quietest exhaust. I definitely hear it in the car (it's a 97 DX, by the way). All in all I really like it though, the tone sounds much meaner then many and the fitment/appearance is nice.
One thing I will say, is after running mine for 1.5 years, it started making this rattle/buzz sound at about 700 rpms (idle) when it's hot out. I took it off and shook it out and there was a bunch of rust flakes in it. I'm pretty sire it came from my stock mid pipe/resonator, but I can't be sure. Just thought I would throw it out there, if someone else has experienced this, it could be an inferior product.

i install custom exhaust all day long. we specialize in magnaflow and flowmaster. i dont recommend running 2" pipe with an h22 swap. get at the minimum 2.25" MANDREL or 2.5" CRUSH bent. The majority of your exhaust shops do crush bending. The import flowmaster sounds good, but make sure you use a resonator. Try to find a good 4" round resonator, not a cheap glass pack imitation of a resonator. You wont be disappointed. Like I said, I do this for a living. Ive put fart cans, flowmasters, straight pipes, and magnaflows in all different cars, and the ones that spend the little extra sound so much better.
