Default Gsr with obx? need opinions!

ok so after the horible day at test and tune at the local track, i need to do something.. about those 2.75 60 ft times. The setup im running is a B20z-vtec with the Jackson supercharger.. and a b16 trans non lsd, that one tire was struggling. My question would the GSR with obx lsd been a good option? Or should i do the ITR trans becuase of the shorter gears and not having to wait for boost.

Any of the B-series transmissions minus the LS will be good for your setup. A 2.7 60' has nothing to do on whether or not you have an LSD or not. LSD is not some miracle straight-line acceleration aid. You need to concentrate on tires (what tires did you run on btw?) and get more practice. There is no reason you shouldn't see 2.1 to 2.3 60's on a decent street tire.

And how do you have to wait for boost? You have a JRSC...

Also, post a breakdown of the timeslip to show us. Curious to see the 330' and 1/8th mile et/mph.

so explain how power going to both tires and griping rather then one tire going in smoke, is not going to help my 60' time? im getting molten rubber on the pass. wheel skirt just launching from pretty much an idle... i know the lexani 195/45/15 have alot to do with it they look like a normal passenger car..

oh i was saying i dont have to wait for the boost its instant.

i know i need a tire with some flex so i bigger side wall with low psi will help also thinking about a set of traction bars to help.

but should i go with a longer gear ratio of the b16/itr or longer gsr ratio?

I would get the proper sized tires first before worrying about a lsd. The overall height of the tire has more of an effect on the straight line contact patch than the width. Try a decent tire in the 205/50-15 range and I'm sure you would see at least a .5 improvement in your 60ft.

Ive heard some pretty good things about the OBX LSD and some guys I know have one in their low 10 second hatch. It does help cause both tires will get power instead of just 1 tire firing out of the hole, but you should also look into getting some slicks for track use.

I run a 205/50/15 falen azenis tire with my boosted ls and welded diff spins like a bitch off the line and all the way to third. also turbo so big I dont even boost in first gear and i air them down to between 15-20 psi. I would look for somethin bigger. I am switching to the m&H 235/60/15
