Its an automatic P30, the weird thing is the N means factory reprogramed, I was aware of their existance, but i've never seen one come up before. Any chance you can post of a pic of the board itself? Just curious to see if it uses a seperate chip or what the deal is. If its OBD1 you can convert it manual btw. Oh and yes it will run a B16A.

It may have been converted (can be done with a soldering iron and about 5 minutes of your time on an OBD1 ECU), it was definitely originally an automatic ECU though.

one more try. can i run a obd 1 ecu such as the p30-a00 on a 96 dx coupe with a jdm b16 and a scanner tool be able to read it. i know i have to get a obd 2 to 1 jumper. does it look for the evap cause my car doesnt have it. does it look for the sec. o2, ckf and vtps i ask because i am currently running the jdm harness/ecu which doesnt have those sensors so if i plug up a ecu looking for it im gonna have to wire it in which i can have done for 150 minus doing the evap. i have no problems out of this car except the knock sensor. when i did get to drive it before inspection ran out it ran great vtec hit, redlines at 8200, and got 27-30 mpg and still does today just cant drive it legallly

Nope, must be a USDM OBD2 ECU. All OBD1 ECUs and Japanese OBD2 ECUs will not communicate with a scan tool.
