the guy who took the case up through the courts is a crazy ****... both his daughter and wife go to church every week. His daughter says the pledge. He just sounds like a crazy atheist looking for his 15 minutes.

Get this, on Sept 11th (last week) at my daughters school, they had a rally in which the pledge was performed. The tape was "edited" and the words "In God" were removed!!! I was outraged! Why do a few non-believers have to spoil such a good thing?

i guess for the same reason.. if it was us.. would we like our kids going in and saying "one allah" under god,, or for Budda We Trust... if it isnt what you believe then .. what do you do?

i dont think it should be taken out..

Its unconstitutional. Simple as that. Its making 7 year old kids reciept a prayer to god without any sort of parental concent or even the slightest clue what they are saying. I've known is was unconstitional since I learned about the U.S. Constitution in the 4th grade. The WASP society throws around the word 'God' so nonchelantly and doesnt even try to accept any other form of reasoning. Anyone ever heard of 'Seperation of Church and State?' Yes, having this deleted from the pledge of allegiance is petty and a blatent waste of time, but I think the entire pledge of ALEGIANCE is unconstitional, as well as those "In God We Trust" signs over every judge in every court room. Who's God is this? Certainly not my God.

not really, this nation was founded by christian men as a christian nation. ever read the back of a one dollar bill? ya, we may have freedom of religion here but who's forcing christianity on anyone by saying "under GOD" in the pledge? we were founded by christian men as a christian nation. i repeated that statement on purpose. you think about it, by removing everything that mentions our sovriegn Lord's name is also unconstituional in that it's promoting agnosticism.

people say it forces religion upon children...but it doesn't

we all sang it as a kid...and i'll be the first to say i'm not religious at all and have no beliefs in any "god"

people make the biggest deal of the smallest things...and that causes too many problems, people just need to chill
