how to take the crank out
so my crank is exposed ready to come out. i have the pully off and i can see all the cogs. now is the cog on the crank come out or somthing? im kinda confused. do i just take all the cogs off so i can also extract the harmonic balancers?
the cog on the crank is on there pretty good. i wacked mine off with a hammer. but since my engine was blown and yours isnt i wouldnt do that if i were you lol if i remember right the balancer shafts have to come out after the crank. did you remove the right side cover as well? if you break anything ive still got all my block parts around. lol
OK, In order get the block sleeved, the engine has to come COMPLETELY apart. But your lost after the timing cover is off. The timing cover is the tip of the iceberg! Youre better off getting a manual instead of a "step by step" through H-T.

yeah, download or purchase a helms manual for the car and go from there. the manual has pictures and correct instructions, as well as what to watch for and what not. Also gives you torque specs and tolerances.
The Helms manual will tell you step by step how to take the entire engine apart.
