Default All stock block/head 262whp with cams

Thought this would be fun for the budget minded folks. Setup is roughly:

Stock K24A2 bottom end
Stock K24A1 head
Skunk2 Stage 3 cams
RCrew Header
RBC IM

The trick was the OEM VTEC Killer setup we've been using a lot lately that lets us run the three lobe cams on the two lobe heads.

Impressive numbers on a stock head/block, but at 2 points on the graph the line goes missing. Does it dip, spike, stay the same?

That's where the pickup on the plug wires bugs out for a second or two and you lose that span of data. Spikes are not a normal part of a power curve and can be caused by a couple different gremlins. A person should always ignore the spikes for the most part and imagine a straight line connecting the normal curve at each spike point.

By using the single roller exhaust rockers on the intake. Here's a picture of the first one we tried it on.

Stays the same. The dyno's pickup needs to be replaced. The torque spikes are a false reading however. The real peak is back at 5300 and ~195

Nice job.

How well does this motor perform just tooling around town?

You can also use a2 rockers and have working vtec, little better for street car and fuel

Good numbers, Midas. Looks like it's a dog if you fall out of the powerband though. :D
Thanks bud. This is all on an ITR tranny, so it's not so hard to keep the revs up unless I scrub too much speed mid turn. But even with the OEM cams, there was a definete lack of umph (relatively) @ 4k vs 5.5k

Thanks guys
It does meh, could be better with more tuning. The idle is at 1200 now and lopes like a Yeti. I'm sure I could bring it back down by putting some more time into it but I wasn't going to run these cams for very long (still on ITR valve springs).
