Icon2 Motor Swap Wiring Q - OBD2a SIR-II into 97 EK

Sorry guys as I'm sure this topic has been covered, I tried the search and the FAQ pages..

I picked up an SIR-II motor for my 97 hatch and I'm not sure which wire harness to use, stock DX and add vtec wiring or the one that came on the new motor/ecu. Both are OBD2a if I am not mistaken. If anyone can chime in with an answer and any other info (any other plugs/wires that need to be modified) or a useful link, I would appreciate it.

More background:

Chasis: 1997 Civic DX Hatch with manual transmission
Motor: JDM SIR-II motor complete from H-Motors Online (RHD wire harness)

Thanks guys

Easy swap, should bolt right in, and the computer will plug right in also. Use your original wiring from your car, just add the wires for vtec...the rhd harness is not needed for your swap except for a couple plugs which you can use....vtec solenoid and knock sensor

So just add the vtec (A8 @ ECU) and knock (D6 @ ECU) to the existing DX harness and lengthen the ones that don't quite reach?

Sounds like you are on the right path. Pull the rhd harness apart, take those plugs and wires, extend them if you need to....run them right to the ecu

Also the VTEC pressure switch to pin C15, assuming it has one.
