advice on ls swap
ive got a 98 civic with a blown single cam i picked up for 400 and my buddy wrecked his integra so i picked it up for 600. i pulled the motor on the civic and tomorow ill get the ls motor out its ready just 2 mounts left. from what i gather it should go right in with the mounts from the ls and the ls harness and computer as well and use the ls axles. ive noticed that on my drivers side the harness to the motor is one gray clip on the civic and 3 clips on the integra. i figure i could just use the civic harness on that. now on the pass side of the honda i pulled the battery tray and the wire with computer plugs came right out where as on the integra its different and doesnt seem like it will come out. ive never done this before so any input or help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. thank you
You can't use an Integra harness in a '96 - '00 Civic (you can in a '92 - '95 however) You will need to modify the civic harness to fit. As far as the mounts go you will need to rear T-bracket from a '99 - '00 Si and the driver's side cast iron timing belt mount from a '99 - '00 Si or '97 - '01 CR-V. Upper transmission bracket from the civic gets reused, front lower torque mounts from the civic get reused, but the metal brackets they're attached to will be from the integra.
