i have a d16a6 block with a 97 vtec head i tryed starting it my mechanic said it will start without the sensors on head but than he said mayb it doesnt have enough compresion on the head to start ??? gettin the sensors soon !!
gimme some opinions please

 

Why would you want to start it without the sensors on the head? Won't certain fluids leak out? The Y8 heads have a smaller combustion chamber so your compression should go up a bit, yet your mechanic is worried about not enough compression? Is your mechanic an actual legit ASE certified mechanic?
