Block Guard or no Block Guard?
I am doing a rebuild on my d16z6 and I will be putting in 10.5:1 c.r. CP pistons along with comp cams, slightly larger fuel injectors, edelbrock intake manifold, dc sports headers, and a few other performance parts. Should I also install a block guard because of the increase in power and to keep the sleeves from knocking loose or warping? I know it is common to do this in a boosted engine but I don't know if it is necessary for a n/a motor. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks

They can help in a boosted/nitrous motor or an all motor racing application but I don't see the need for one in your build specifically. The main thing is that there isn't really a straight forward right or wrong answer to that question. The most important thing for anyone to remember that chooses to run one is to have it installed BEFORE the cylinders are bored/machined.
