Very nice! I'm planning on swapping a geezer in my sol just gotta wire that bad boy up. What catalytic converter are you using and header? Any mod with the pipes?

 

Thnx and I used the stock gsr header and took it to the muffler shop and let them cut the piping cuz the bolts don't match and you need a gsr cat I had to buy a new one for smog

 

They cut the header or extended the cat yipes!! And you bought a gsr cat, what brand magnaflow? Or did they just cut you stock flanges and weld it on to the new gsr cat? That's the only problem I'm concerned about when im gonna take it to bar. Btw what year is your gsr? Thanks!

when i took it to bar they didnt check the cat cuz they are not smogging at the bar stations anymore but i herd they are gonna start again i dunno for sur and i have a 97 gsr we wired it up obd1 sence my car is a 95 and i am using a 95 ecu so in tern we reffed my 97 gsr as a 95 gsr basically

 

No cat? WTF? I havent gone because i dont have one on. And im saving to buy one to go get bar'ed. Please shed some light on this

 

I can only speak for my self I went to smog they only did a visual checked for codes and did a evap test on the exhaust. That was it no sniffer on muffler o and checked timing

 

Congrats!!!!.....I just swapped in a 95 gsr into my 92 hatch...did all the wiring close to stock spec as possible with the help of a gsr wire harness...Wired in the secondary butterflies, knock and 4 wire o2...Looks pretty clean...Only cell light is a IACV code, I'm swapping it out soon.

Anyway, hopefully I can join the b.a.r club soon as well..

should have bar'd it with a B20 so the plate would have read "2 liter honda", then stuck a K20 in it.

what do the bar plates look like now? maybe they changed.

 

I thought you can't bar b20's cuz they're considered suv/truck motors but iono

 

pretty sure nickrps bar'd his crx with a straight b20, then built a b20vtec for it. could be wrong, it might have been an ls motor.

yes swaps are illegal in cali and yes that exactly what it means cops can say what they want but my car is 100% street legal with my gsr in it
