ITR #1530 So Sweet!
To make a long story short my R's USDM transmission went south some time ago. I still don't know why I can't shift into 1st, 3rd, & 5th gears. The debate with myself began," Should I replace the transmission for a USDM or JDM, or rebuild?" After some research I bought a 98+ JDM Spec ITR transmission w/competition stage 1 clutch, from ICB Motorsport. Everything went fine, from payment to shipping. Matt is a great guy & business man
I will say that 1st gear is a bit tricky not to engage, but rather torque, the car launches like a rocket
5th gear pulls strongly, I'm looking forward to turning heR into a NA monster sleeper in the future hehe. I'll post pics later.

My bad there is going to a delay in pics , I left my SD card @ the the house. I'm far far away packing for my upcoming deployment, won't be until next weekend fellas
I too like the 4.785 gear set. First gear can be a little tricky with that gear set, but you will get the feel for it after a while. If it doesn't feel like it's in shift it into second and then try putting in first again. Reverse can be a little tricky with that tranny too.
Here we go I'm back in the Mother Fu*king Buliding! First impressions is that this JDM 4.7 drive transmission is EXCELLENT in EVERY GEAR! From the time you go from 1st to 2nd, which you can pull all the way to our sweet spot 8500 RPM you'll still be in VTEC and it does PULL, Almost topped the car out on the highway got to 120mph @ 7k in 5th gear before Mr. Police man flashed his lights in which I cruised, no to be confused with hitting the breaks and I just eased into the "traffic" so I could no be spotted. Anyway I think he didn't wanna chase me as he was driving the opposite direction. Alright that about sums it up lol I haven't had any challengers pull up to my R YET I hope it stays that way. The competition stage 1 clutch holds on tight and doesn't let go in my stock set-up. Those of you that are in the market for clutchs and have stock set-ups or I/H/E competition stage 1 clutch/stage2 or exedy stage 1. For all of those that have been thinking about go from 4.4 to 4.7 do it you won't ever look back. I still have my busted 4.4 USDM transmission, but I'm keeping it because I wanna learn how to complete a master rebuild on heR and I've got just the friend back home that can teach me how, plus the excellent editorials here on HT B-series transmission rebuild/tear-down. Enjoy the pics, btw I did all of the work mostly by myself. I'd like to thank Kyle my good friend who taught me the ways of the "Honda Force" aka learning/working on your caR, and CraftMans tools at Sears. Get yourself a great set of tools and your half way there!
this will be my last post until I return from my deployment in Afghanistan, don't worry she'll be locked away safely
