Any Suggestions On Suede Paint/Dye?
I have a Buddy Club P1 Bucket seats back in color with red/gray trims the black on the seat is still nice and dark but the red/gray trims are really faded what I wanted to do is paint/dye the red/gray areas any suggestions and btw I dont want to get it professionally done thanks ht.
You would definitely want to dye it, paint will leave the surface brittle. There are fabric "paints" out there...but they are essentially an aerosol dye lol
I think you have a lot more control using a liquid than a spray as you want to avoid blotchyness. You will want to remove the seat cover itself, generally it is attached with a cable which detaches under the front of your seat where your legs are. Remove cover as you will now have some room to take it off of the shell and start at the far end of the cover, this way, depending upon how much dye you use, you will be able to see how far it bleeds with the amount that you put on. I suggest using a foam brush, ads a little bit of control especially when you get close. Now, last but not least, once it is dry. WASH IT. If you do not wash it you are going to most likely end up with black dye over your clothes whenever you get in the car.

thanks man your help is really appreciated i had some dye that been laying around hoping the dye it my friend told me to use a sponge but i might just go with what you told me any other suggestions are welcome thanks once again.
To be honest, I would probably take the time and hand wash it either in a kiddie pool, or the tub. With stuff like that, you dont' want to take the chance of it shrinking etc, essentially I'd take care of it the same way you would wash a fitted hat, as those are delicate and also bleed out too. If you have ever owned an all black fitted, you will see that even after wearing for a while, first time you put it in the sink to wash it, the water turns musky from the black dye coming out.
You don't wash suede. If it is real suede, not a type of microfiber, use a solvent cleaner. My wife scored some stuff from a local drycleaner after my son decided to try out his markers on an arm chair. If anything, use a damp cloth, but don't let water absorb in to the material.
A lot of seatcovers I have seen are as close to suede as they can get, but not real. I have a short roll of the stuff that I use to do armrest covers etc. If I handed it to someone they probably could not tell, but the cost is 10x cheaper. I have washed the fake stuff, and haven't had an issue with it, may be different for the real deal.
