I went to high school in Spokane....

there's a lot of smart guys in the area and a lot of cool cars, BUT, Spokane is really far behind the times, in a major way!

I'm sure you'll see my brother cruising around a white hatch with a J32 in it

Yah I graduated college over there about a year or so ago now. I moved back to the west side shortly after but I'm sure I could answer any questions you have about the area. And you'll probably see my buddy around mid-town cruisin his black hatch with his b20 turbo.

I go to Eastern Washington University.

There are about 4 good Hondas in Cheney, that's it. They're cool dudes.

How many in Spokane?:

I just came back from Seattle and WOW was I spoiled; I'm going feel like quite the elitist now while going back to Spokane.

Word. I graduated from EWU in 09. There are few and far between 'nice' hondas there.

I'll keep an eye out for you. You have that DC in your avatar?

I have a Subaru Impreza.

I feel sad now. In Seattle I couldn't go a block without seeing some sort of modified import.
In Spokane I have to look for it. Mostly high schoolers in their riced out civics.

Kris, it would be cool to have an import meet or something (I don't have a Honda), but I don't hang around a lot of Honda people, lol!

I met two guys (black EK civic with disco spud set up, and a guy with a grey type-s) that moved from the West side to Cheney; that's it.

You should have been in Spokane in the 90s...the street racing scene and "import scene" was actually quite huge.

One of the first ever K swapped cars was done in Spokane...I believe that was in 02 or so. Reid Henry, if you know who that is.

My boys and I are the Honda scene in Cheney, well the only one w/o ricer wings and stock d's

We all go to EWU and typically go to the track but sometimes Spokane when we feel like seeing the 3000+ cops on Division...

I'm building a k24/k20 dc5, boo has 12.5:1 ls/vtec dc4, shorty has a 384 whp 2.0 gsr em1 (tuned at Intec), and QBkilla is building a 600+ whp eg...

Yah one of the few decent cars I ever saw in spokane was a 1996 RX-7. Dark green, turbo'd like a mother. Dude lit it up at a light next to me, and spun the tires all the way through 4th gear.

what are you referencing when you say spokompton is behind the times?

The fact I had to learn to tune my K-Pro because the only other option was west side ($ was also a huge factor)

or that it is a huge city with a small town budget and mentality? (shitty roads, laws, cops, etc...)

Never seen this j swapped eg, where does he cruise? ever take to drag? or autox?

Not good. I'm working a lot to help pay for it. Going to rebuild it with some ACL race bearings, ARP studs, and Cometic gaskets, the works.

How's the Type S doin? You should give me a ride once you get your car done; I never rode in a Honda before!

Spokane is far behind compared to Seattle. If you look at Spokane, you got no other big cities around it. Secluded, where Seattle seems to have everything.

It seems Spokane's perception of a 'modified' car is a car with wheels, exhaust, and lowering springs. I saw that **** everywhere when I was in Tukwila. And every 20 cars or so I see a slammed 240 with a BOV or a WRX.

Type S is going slow, hopefully when school starts up I will have it running and can take ya for a spin, doing bp headstuds, cosmetic gasket, K-Pro, RH and CAI, then this winter hopefully save enough for JRSC or turbo set-up.

Spokane is filled with ricers and like ya said, every 20th car is a WRX or 240 with bov, springs, and wheels

yeah i want a good dd and the torque from the 24 and jrsc will make it a mean street car... stripped interior, race header and 3in might make me deaf since it's the dd though

Yeah I'm pretty sure most loudness comes from the race header.

My best friend lives up in Spokane. He rolls with a small car club called Speed Monkey. They meet up every Monday night. It not a Honda group but just any kind of car. I know quite a few of the Members are really involved with the autocross scene over there. There is also a small amateur drifting scene but they need to find a new location to drift. Of coarse there is also Rally up there. If you want the clubs info PM me.

I haven't seen a lot of WRXs up there or maybe I just wasn't looking.

I'm moved into Cheney, I was wondering if there were anyone out here in Eastern Washington University.

I managed to spot at least 6 people with WRXs...
