Default battery question??

so this is my first post....
Got some questions
so i just got a 94 honda civic DX stock engine
and i had a spare system lying around so I put it in it and I'm kinda confused about this.
heres the problem
-With the AC at full blast and my headlights on my headlights dim while the sub is beating, but it dims so bad that when i'm idling the car almost shuts off

now i could understand a little dimming.. but it almost shutting completely off off of a diamond audio 10 and an a tiny MTX 300 watt rms thunder amp broken down to 1 ohm sounds a little fishy
cause in my ranger it did just fine i'm gonna do the big 3 soon just havnt had time

oh oh oh and very rarely when i brake hard my head-unit shuts off... any suggestions on that?????

amyways back to the matter at hand

Now heres what i think my options are.
1. get a new high output alt
(i'm thinking of getting an ebay high output alt its like 110 for 130 amps tell me if that sounds legit or not )
2. Bigger battery.. and relocating it to the trunk...

Could this be other problems? if so what could it be?

chassis to engine ground is faulty.
or the battery to chassis ground is faulty.
either way, check all the grounds.

Your problem has nothing to do with the battery.
What is the output of a stock dx alternator? 70amps?
How many amps is just your sound system drawing when the amplifier is running @ 1ohm?
The dx came with power nothing and the factory charging system is spec'd accordingly. You need a larger alternator.

Keep in mind that at idle, the alternator doesn't put out much power. You have to be running about 3k rpms to be making that 70amps or whatever it's rated at.

You could put a B series alternator in. They are rated at like 90. You may need a different belt and to tweak the upper mount, but it could be made to work I'm sure. I made a D series fit on my GSR motor for a week to get to work.

Get a capacitor. I am running the 70amp on h2b setup with 1200 watt system and have added power everything. The only thing I don't have is ac and I have no dimming or engine issues due to stereo.
