breather filter question and intake help
1. so today i bought those small filter for the valve cover because my friend told me it will help cool it down and look nice. went on line did some research and some say its bad (too complex to understand) and some say it wont do no harm. if its bad do i just put back the cover on it? so what do the experience HT got to say about it?
2. normally i see a lot of people with a tube that connect from the vc to the intake but mine doesn't. it is connected with something called "denso sensor map". im totally confuse what to do about this.
with breather filter

Unless your using the stock intake system its not need, a filter allows for crank case breathing through the valvecover , its not the most opitum way to vent crankcase pressure but its fine if you have a mild bolt on or stock motor..
the denso map thingy could be your IAT (intake air temperature) sensor. i too have heard mixed things about the breather filter, i just put a hose back on mine...
ive actually never seen the cap but what it does is route the gases to your intake. there may be some oil moisture but nothing extreme. for an all motor build its pointless to get a breather filter and yes, adding a breather filter will fail any emissions test that requires a visual and it is illegal in all 50 states.
