Default Honda Transmission Problems

Is there an aftermarket maker of honda transmission parts, i.e. forks, syncros, etc. A friend of mine has had his car down for over a month due to a fucked tranny and like 3 of the 30 parts he ordered are on back-order right now. So the car just sits.

Anyone know? Tom?

Very true, If it's like a D series I wouldn 't pay more than $200, but if it's a B series you can repair it depending on the type of parts that are needed. It can get really expensive and buying a whole new trans unit would be better.

Well, the problem is, recently, we've bought 2 used transmissions, and both had problems. One from sohfast.com was extreemly fucked, and wouldn't go into reverse. We're still debating with them, depending on wether or not they honor their waranty, but we'll see.

The other has some problems, syncros show light signs of grinding, but to replace all the parts it needs that are slightly ugly, it will be over $1000 in parts.

Yuck, i hate transmissions.

Anybody got any kraut?
