So my car is having this weird issue with the gas gauge moving up and down, when i turn left it moves up towards fill, and right it moves down towards empty. Although at a stop, or going straight it reads fine.
Not a huge issue, not really a concern at all, but i figured i'd fix it because my previous civic's gas gauge just went out one day and it took me weeks to figure that one out.
Some friends suggested a new fuel pump, and someone said i should look inside the dash to see if there are any loose wires around my steering rack.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as far as i know or have seen, my car is the only one that does this.
Car is a bone stock 92 honda civic CX.

Nope, all cars do this. A gas gauge uses a bobber (floating thing) to determine the amount of fuel in your tank. When you turn fast, or are on a hill, it disrupts the gas in the tank (think of carrying a tank of water... waves) which affects the reading you see. My Civic does this, as well as most cars I've driven, some more than others depending on the design.
My 00 does this slightly. I assume it's just because the gas moves to each side of the tank and drops or raises the float in the tank.
My Probe and Jeep have done this as well. It's just a design flaw of older cars.

True. My dad owns a 1968 Citroen DS and the gauge will move about 1/3 of a tank either way, at least by the 90s they had it better than that.
