Need some help identify parts 05 accord EXL 4cyl
I have a noise coming from my 05 Accord so I took it in for an oil change and multipoint inspection. The tech came back and said I need to replace my Compressor Pulley and my Tensioner Pulley. Can someone tell me what/where these parts are on the car and where can I purchase them at a good price to get this issue fixed. Thanks
I can;t imagine why you would need to replace your compressor pulley as it's part of the AC compressor, the tensioner DOES go out from time to time on higher millage vehicles. Replace the belt at the same time you do all this
there are some vendors in our FOR SALE section that can deliver OEM parts at less than retail pricing, otherwise go here:

Thanks for the info, I will purchase the tensioner pulley and belt and replace those first before I mess with the compressor and see if that resolved the issue.
the ac compressor clutch bearing causes a whining noise, sounds just like powersteering noise, but its not....its very hard to distinguish what pulley is making noise because the ac compressor, water pump, serpentine belt tensioner and alternator bolt to the same bracket.
Hmm it is definately a whining noise which would make you thing its the power steering but i am following the assessment of the dealer but at the same time i want a little cheaper alternative from the $523 that they want to chage me to replace the compressor pulley. Now with that said where is the tensioner pulley located is that the one that the belt spins on.
