Default Question about shift ****

So, I live in Texas and I have a replica Type R shift ****, made of some kind of metal, which gets realy hot when exposed to the sun for a long time. My question is, does the real Type R **** (made in titanium I believe) gets hot when in the sun?

Yes. All metal will get hot if left in the sun.

That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure, wanted to hear from someone that had one installed in their car.

You should get tints and a windshield sun shade.
It'll keep your car cooler and save your interior.

you need a crochet'ed shift **** bootie. Someone was selling them on the marketplace, so your metal shift **** wouldn't burn your hand in the sun. I was trying to talk my wife into getting into making them.

Personally, I got a 91 Accord shift ****, which is excellent, and not metal.

I have tints and had the sun shade for a while, but the tints don't help much, the sun shade helps a little bit, but it is too much work.
