92 civic LX engine code help.
I have a 1992 honda civic LX (obd1). i recently had my engine light come on so i took it apon myself to pull the engine code. the engine code that has come up is code 04 crank position sensor. How do i repair or replace this part? i have searched on forum's and some say that the sensor is built into the distributor. if so what do i need to do to fix this problem?
i do have a haynes repair manual can i find were to locate the sensor in the housing in the manual or can someone here tell me were to find it i do not know what it would look like.
So....i replaced the entire distributor!.......still have engine code 04 and now the damn thing wont fire! im getting Zero Spark..... Now its time to take it to the dealer and let them figure it out!

today i cleaned all the connectors with electrical parts cleaner. checked all ground wires and connectors. reset the ECU. Still Code 04 crank angle sensor wont go away! thinking its a faulty wire!
Problem Fixed! and this is what i went through!.....
1) started with the sensor itself! sensor was good!
2) next i checked the wires! Wires are fine!
3) tested for bad connectors! Nope there ok!
So i had a hunch and went on it.....pulled my ECU and exchanged it with another one! Bingo!!!! bad ECU!!!! i no longer have a Cel light and engine runs perfect!
