Car Won't Start/Dizzy Not Firing
Ok, I'll try to be as informative as possible. I just completed a jdm b16 swap into my 92 EG, and it won't start. I'm pretty sure my fuel pump is not malfunctioning because every time I crank the car I can smell raw fuel from the bay. I took off my cap and rotor and I did see some corrosion on the rotor, and a lot on each of the little mini-tabs on the cap, but I don't think that's enough to stop the dizzy from firing? I really can't think of anything else that could be hindering my car from starting. I'd appreciate any help I can get guys. And this might be irrelevant to my problem, but does this plug I have circled in red hook to anything?
Well, the CEL is on when the key is in the "ON" position, but so are all of the other lights on my gauges. And the spark plugs are brand spanking new. They've actually seen no spark-time since the motor's never actually cranked up with them in. =/ And now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that empty plug does go to the back up lights. My friend took out the back up light wire.
Hmm, what fuse are you talking about in this section? "Check whether battery voltage is reaching the coil and igniter wire (often a Blk/Yel wire) in the distributor when the ignition key is turned to ON(II). If not, there may be a bad wire or a blown fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box. A bad ignition switch is another possibility." I ask because my shell came with a shaved bay, so my under-hood fuse box is located behind my glovebox. Also, thanks for the links bro.
