Default few quick questions

So i picked up an f23 (a4?) ulev vtec engine from craigslist, 70k miles and almost complete.

What I'm wondering first is what is gonna be needed to change it to a a1 or a5, i kinda figured it would just be a cam or ecu change needed.

Second is whether it will be able to bolt to an s2000 transmission or if there is another rear wheel drive transmission that will bolt to it, planning to drop it into a 78 toyota celica.

Any other pointers or things i need to know will be greatly appreciated.

I was under the impression that most Honda engines rotate counter-clockwise, while the S2000 rotated clockwise.

Pretty sure S2000 and f23 parts are not compatible. Youll prolly be better off goin to the S2000 forum and asking there!!!

IIRC all you need to do is run an F23A1 O2 sensor and ECU to convert it from a ULEV. As for your transmission inquiry. That's not going to work, as mentioned above. In order for you to put an F23 (Counter Clockwise rotating engine) into a rear wheel drive vehicle. You will need to find a RWD transmission that will run in a CCW rotation. I don't think there are any out there.

There is another member trying to do the same thing and he's talking about running a S2k trans and turning his rear diff upside down?????? It's not as easy as it sounds to run a counter clockwise rotational engine in a RWD vehicle.
