"Coilovers" (this is abuse of the term, but is common abuse) allow you to set the height. Lowering springs only have 1 height.

Maybe the Eibach pro-kit shock and spring combo.

There is also the sport kit if you want a little lower height.

For a daily driver this would be one of my choice, next to a eibach,H&R spring on a koni shock.

I just did ksport lowering springs on my Del sol and the difference is night and day. Turn in is better, the car doesn't dive on braking, body roll is way down...

Stick with name brand stuff and you'll be good. Eibach makes great stuff. Don't get ebay crap.

Actually damn good. Not bouncy and not really too much stiffer. They are progressive springs, after all. The ride quality actually improved over stock, but that's probably because my old springs were so worn out and rusted. The front passenger one was so bad it actually was cracked at the bottom. A coil fell off when I removed it from the strut!

People forget that springs don't last forever. In all honesty, I'm surprised they last as long as they do... you know, bending steel over and over again and whatnot.

Ksport brand name? I hate to see what you call generic.

generic = no name. ksport actually makes big brake kits and all these days. They aren't very popular here stateside, but overseas they're decently well known.

Also, the thing about blowing out ksport coilovers makes sense. People actually are doing it to themselves because they buy them for all the wrong reasons... I don't mean ALL people, just a lot of people. They get them because they want to go lower then any reasonable suspension should be and it's more then the dampers can tolerate. They just aren't intended for "slamming" your car.

In fact, nothing is. I know I'm in the minority here, but having a slammed ride is actually pretty stupid. There is quite a difference between moderately lowered and "slammed".
