The TPS has three wires: Power, ECU input, and ground.

Turn the key to ON(II) and, in the connected TPS plug, back probe the ECU input and ground wires with a digital multimeter. Adjust the position of the TPS such that you measure ~0.5V at closed throttle and ~4.5V at wide open throttle.

The TPS setting doesn't cause the TPS CEL. Code 7 pops up when the ECU loses the TPS signal. You have a loose or broken connection somewhere.
