Hey like most Automatic Preludes mines been having some issues.

im at 150k now

The gear wont go from park into the next gear reverse. It will go from reverse onwards. I have to press the button on the right of the gears to change it from Park to reverse. Anyone know what this issue is?
BTW this happened after I tested the car following transmission fluid change.
I put in 3quarts of fluid.

The car also doesnt shift smoothly always from 1st to 2nd but all the other gears shift smooth.


Any help?

 

Sell it and buy a 5spd.

 

I def want too! I love the car I just wish it was a 5spd.

But I would need to fix these issues before I can do so..

If anyone has any ideas or help let me know

 

Solved the not going into gear problem for anyone else that has the issue. I took apart the center console tightned some of the wiring and it was good to go.

Car still revs high attimes then softly jerks into second, Im guessing that is a tranny issue
