Default 97 Prelude SH HELP

When at right around 3000 rpm's while accelerating the break light comes on as if the e-brake was pulled but it doesn't really seem to affect the car... I have checked the brake cable so its not a problem with that, I going on a trip out of town soon and I just want to make sure it's not a problem with the breaks or anything before getting onto the road.

As your brake pads wear, the level of fluid will drop in the reservoir (because the caliper pistons stay out farther). This is completely normal, and is fixed by simply adding some fluid.
